The Journey Begins....

I know it has been a very long time since I have posted a blog but for very good reasons. This weekend actually marks the start of a new chapter in my life. I will be graduating with my Masters in Accounting and moving towards my career goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant. It's amazing how if you actually listen to what God tells you, you will see how everything falls into place. Becoming a Certified Public Accountant was a dream I had in college but it had gotten lost from a bad experience at my last "corporate" job. When I got laid off in 2008, I never once thought about going back to school to get my Masters degree in accounting because I lost interest in accounting from what I experienced at that job but God had another plan for me. It came to me in July of 2009 something was telling to go back to school and get my Masters and my CPA license. Ever since then everything has fell into place from me getting admitted to the school a week before classes started, to getting financial aid on the next day and receiving my books on the third day that I didn't even have money to buy. So now here I am a year later I am about to graduate with my Masters degree and begin studying for the CPA exam. I haven't told many people but I have also applied to FIU for their MBA program. Hopefully, I will hear from them very soon. I am very excited about where I am heading in life. I have never been so happy. Sometimes it is a little scary because I am not known to be a risk taker but I know that God is ordering my steps and he is leading me to my divine purpose here on Earth. Recently, I went to Miami, my soon to be home, and started looking at different places to live. The plan is to move by the end of August. I think a new location will spark a new fire inside of me. New location, new opportunities, new people. I can't wait!!!

New Chapter

My mother has always taught me to write things down and I never took her seriously until now. Now that I am beginning a new chapter in my life, I think it is a great idea for me to document how God has moved me and where he is taking me. I have experienced my own setbacks but I have this burning spark inside me that is telling me that something BIG is about to happen. So everyone stay tune and read about my journey into entrepreneurship and how giving is going to be the key to my success.
